We offer a Saturday study session to our students which runs in partnership with our Grinds sessions. Students can avail of studying from 9.30am to 12pm session and then 1 to 3.30pm session.
During these 2.5 hour sessions students will have a 15/20 minute break to get some fresh air, phone time, have their snack and also avail of light refreshments provided.
What are the three biggest problems of students “studying” by themselves?
1) Smartphone distractions. Strict no social media allowance aside from break time. Students will be permitted to use educationally useful apps for studying.This will be known as our ‘phone flat down policy.’
2) Are they there? Parents will be informed of a students absenteeism from a Study session and also will be informed if a student leaves early without a consenting text message from parents (No signed notes).
3) What are they studying and for how Long? Upon signing up for the study sessions students will be given help if they are developing a study plan of what they need to study and for how long they intend on studying it based on their subject requirements.
Fees
When you Prebook its €5 per each 2.5hr session or €7.50 for both.
When you walk in on the day its €7 per session and €12 for both.
