Here at Newport Tuition Academy we want to offer our students the best possible study experience.
A quiet, calm, bright and relaxing space where students can work in a distraction free environment.
We offer a Saturday study session to our students which runs in partnership with our Grinds sessions.
Students can avail of studying from 9.30am to 12.30 pm session these sessions will start following the mid-term with supervised study session 2 starting after Christmas in the afternoon.
Why Supervised Study?
What are the three biggest problems of students “studying” by themselves?
- Smartphone distractions. Strict no social media allowance aside from break time. Students will be permitted to use educationally useful apps for studying.This will be known as our ‘phone flat down policy.’
- Are they there? Parents will be informed of a students absenteeism from a Study session and also will be informed if a student leaves early without a consenting text message from parents (No signed notes).
- What are they studying and for how Long? Upon signing up for the study sessions students will be given help if they are developing a study plan of what they need to study and for how long they intend on studying it based on their subject requirements.
Fees
When you Prebook its €5 per each 2.5hr session or €7.50 for both.
When you walk in on the day, with no booking its €7 per session and €12 for both.
